As part of the ongoing player development program, ICSF is excited to be able to offer goal keeping clinics to players actively involved as goalkeepers for their teams this season.

Running alongside the ICSF Academy sessions, the sessions are run by Anna Maria Picarelli and are designed to help goalkeepers develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be able play the position with confidence and success.

Players are guaranteed to come out of these sessions with an amazing amount of knowledge and goalkeeping skills.

About Anna Maria Picarelli

Anna Maria’s senior career includes time playing for Bardolino Verona (Italy), Los Angeles Legends, Ajax America Women and the Pali Blues. Anna Maria currently plays goal for the Seattle Sounders Women’s Team as well as the Italian National Team and has represented Italy in many international matches.

In January 2008 Picarelli made her debut for Italy in a 1–0 friendly defeat in France. By the time of UEFA Women’s Euro 2009 Picarelli was Italy’s first choice goalkeeper; playing in their shock 2–1 win over England, the 2–0 defeat to Sweden, the 2–1 over Russia and the quarter final defeat to eventual winners Germany.

Anna Maria has been coaching goalkeepers at ICSF for the last couple of years and brings a fun but challenging approach to the clinics and we are very lucky to have her helping groom our young goalkeepers.
